Help Call Waiting Issue!!!

Hi all,

After countless searching ive failed to find an answer to the issue im having with my moment, so im hoping you guys can help me out... The problem is, when im in a call and i receive a second call (call waiting), i switch over and back...but i have no way of ending either call individually...even if the second caller hangs up the phone. My phone will continue say that i have a call on hold...is this a known issue or is it just me? Any help would be appreciated!

I haven't had this happen to me, but do you continue to get a sound notification of having a second call as well? cuz that would be extra annoying.

No, the notification sound goes away once i click over...but my main concern is that my phone still thinks that im on two calls even though i switch back to the original call and the second caller hangs up...thus not being able to receive another call because you can only have one call holding at a time, and not to mention the fact that the meter is still running on that second call... i hope im not confusing anyone! lol

Yes I have this same problem/concern. One of us needs to test it out to see if another call can be received when this occurs. I am assuming not.

hey hambonewc, so i tested it out and yes you can receive another call even though the phone still thinks you have a call on hold...when another call comes in, the phone cancels that dead call and you receive a notification as normal.... i still wish there was a way to individually end either call though...oh well.

Well if there is a bright side to this its the fact that when this occurs the speaker/mute buttons are removed thus making more difficult to activate those with your face.

oooh so when on a phone call I can just call myself and hang out and get rid of the mute and speaker phone? SO maybe I shold get a fourth line on my account so I can stop hitting those buttons! lol This is not snarky to the previous poster, but more to the phone developers. Not everyone uses a headset. The mute/speaker button issue in UNACCEPTABLE.

If you pess the RED End button (one time only) while on the call you want to disconnect, it will appear as though you have hung up on BOTH calls, however the other line will ring your phone back in a few second and now you are back in business.

The caller on the other end does not notice this activity.

This is based on experience, but not any significant testing.

the buttons can be removed pretty easily - but you need root.

Just tested this out and it works for me also... i wonder if this is something that might be fixed with 2.1

I can't view a second incoming call. I do have call waiting. I have Samsung Virbrant with T-mobile. When I'm on the phone and the second call comes in I look at the screen and it is just dark. Any suggestions?
