Called my local ATT.

Bro you will not be dissapointed. I am willing to bet there will be more dissapointed atrix owners.

Well the more I thought about it the less getting the Atrix made sense. Sure webtop is cool but I doubt I would use it. The multimedia capabilities are great but I feel like I wouldn't need them. I don't travel at all for work and I can already stream every video and music file to my tv from my computer. So I was looking more towards the hacking ability of the phone. Now from videos it looks like the OS is running great but I'm sure that part of the fun of Android is playing around with different roms. Do you think that full roms will be able to be used on the Inspire at some point. I keep hearing about the Cyanogen roms. Do you think these will find their way to the Inspire?

Yes def cyanogen and unrEVOked

I'm wondering how much ATT will give me for my iPhone on trade in. Might make that price even better.

Gazelle is saying about 130, which is a lot lower than what Ebay is giving me. I have one scratch that's on the back of my case, and slight scuff on the chrome.

I'm thinking 250 on ebay. It's a 16gb 3gs

I'm excited as hell because I AM eligible for an upgrade in a little over a month, and I'm thinking about the inspire.

Well I'm gonna wait until it comes out so I can compare it to the Samsung Captivate, because the Captivate is pretty cool too (My sister just got one)

I've had over forty (yes I'm an addict) smartphones, and as picky as I am, I would be remiss if I failed to tell you how impressed and happy I am with my Captivate.

I've had zero problems, I get great battery life. Great call quality (far better than any other) and the display is every bit as good as the retina on my iPhone 4! In fact I truly prefer the Captivate display for it's size.

Thus, even though I'm buying a new HTC Inspire, I'm going to continue to keep my Captivate activated on one of my four lines. It's one excellent phone.

I like that it's totally flat front and back. Thin with no camera bump its perfect for suit coat pockets. So compact for a smartphone with a large 4.0" display.

I've had mine a long time, well since the first Sunday, launch day, and its the only phone I've had no problems with. Amazing!

Cheers

I'd bet $450 that Best Buy will not sell this phone outright for $450. I'm guessing at least $559, probably $599.

isnt that a picture of an att circular?

I think it is from AT&T but if that's AT&T's price I don't see how anyone else would be selling the phone for more. If anything third party retailers sometimes sell phones for less but usually not more.

You guys need to stop by Best Buy... or Radio Shack... or Walmart, occasionally and see if you still feel the same way about 3rd party dealer pricing.

I could be wrong, and ill admit it if I am, but I know for a fact the all three of them are selling current models for more than the respective carriers. Especially BB. They jack up the full retail price big time.

If this is the case, since I am purchasing at full price, its sort of a deal breaker. I was going to use Best Buy because I have a gift card, but if they jack up the price its a moot point...

all depends on what the price is if you have a few hundred on the gift card and the price is a hundred higher than its worth it because the phone will cost you more out of pocket the other way
