Help Calling and surfing at same time

[james391]

I have tried calling and surfing at the same time. But the screen just turns black when I
open the browser. Is this phone able to call and surf the internet
at the same time.
thanks

No, no CDMA phone can so Virgin Mobile, Sprint, Verizon, Cricket etc will not be able to be connected to data while talking. Only ones that can do that are GSM phones, TMobile & Att... Pretty much at least for now, if the phone uses SIM cards than they can, if not than no. CDMA is supposed to eventually change to allow that but who knows when that will be.

You can surf while talking if you're on Wifi.

Yep, just not on data

for what it's worth, just as an FYI, Verizon's new eHPRD 3G (basically a software upgrade) allows voice/data at the same time, but the Thunderbolt is the only phone with a chipset that supports it...

I wonder what they changed with it to allow it, that's pretty good to know. The Thunderbolt looks like an awesome phone.
