Help calling issue..

Whenever i try to call a number from my contacts or from recent call logs, my Dinc 2 puts a four digit sequence in front of the phone number. So, for example if i was calling 123-456-7890, my phone tries to call 0015-123-456-7890. I have no problems if i manually dial the number, but i do not want to have to do that all the time. I do have global capabilities on my dinc, not sure if that makes a difference.

Any help is GREATLY appreciated!

Welcome to AF! I hope you enjoy. As for your problem. You might go into settings and then into call settings.. or something similar and make certain you are set to be in the USA... if indeed you are.... and the are cod is marked as 1. I hope this helps.

The options are: Global or CDMA or GSM. It is defaulted to Global and I am having these same issues, though only when roaming, not in my home area. I have a nationwide plan.

Also, can I dial *228 to update towers away from home, or should that only be done at home (as I was told to do with my old Black Berry).

A fix for 0015. main menu, settings, Call, Assisted Dialing, Reference Country, select United States of America (311), [back to Assisted dialing], menu, Edit, change National Number Length: to 9.

Will allow you to use contacts for calls. Still will not get you to Voice Mail. (Dial 7 digit cell phone number for Voice Mail)

Your 7-digit cell phone number can replace *86 in voice mail dialing. To change *86: Menu, settings, call, voicemail settings, tap circle in upper right hand corner, replace *86 with your cell phone number.

Adding pp + password after your cell phone number will automatically enter the password when requested by the automated voice message.

Thank you soo much for the fix it worked perfectly, I think a good amount of people are having this problem. This post got me to join the forum & I will be back! You saved me a bunch of time not having to listen to the morons at my Verizon store
