is there any program or widget that would allow me to use the LED flash while taking videos?

I asked the same question a few day ago, short answer = no.
Froyo should give us the option though.

that's a bummer, i thought there was a program that could do this. Oh well, hope Froyo will come soon.

I'm on a rooted unofficial Froyo version, and there is an option to use it. It's bright as hell, almost blinded me when I decided to look into it.

Perhaps this might work (it's a terrible workaround, but a workaround nonetheless) - Get a flashlight app and turn it on before filming.

I can't verify if that will work because I did it when I rooted (seems there might be LED flashlight apps for non-rooted). It worked then, but now, I have Froyo so it doesn't matter.

Any how, just thought I'd share.
