Camera and the touch screen

I find when you touch the screen in the camera it auto-focuses and "occasionally" takes a picture. Is there some trick to this? I can't seem to figure out how to take a picture every time I touch the screen. Any ideas?

Mine focuses, waits a second longer, goes out of focus then takes the picture. I'm really thinking something is wrong, but it doesn't too much matter since I almost never use the camera anyway, and it has always been great as a phone for me, especially now that I am rooted.

There IS a trick to this. And it's a pretty stupid one at that because it's not the most obvious.

When you first open the camera app, it'll focus on it's own. Wait a few seconds. I figure after it focuses, it gives itself about 3-4 seconds before it's initial focus is kind of unlocked. After you tap to focus, you have to tap again and hold it. And it should work
