What's a good private one that doesn't save to googoo? I suppose I shouldn't expect much from a Blu, but I do want to maximize what it can do. I don't want something that goes overboard with permissions.

Just stick with the camera app you already have.
Just disable Google Photos and everything will just stay on the phone and not uploaded to Google.

but if you do, just remember to make sure that you regularly backup your photos. sd cards can get corrupted and you will lose your photos. same with the phone....especially if you ever have to do a reset on it.....with Google photos there is no need to do all of that.....just saying.

back up your photos via usb connection to the comp, mega dump all gigs at once.
But be sure as well as keep in mind this, it is much quicker then cloud!
