Root Camera button function select?

Like many others I am really not a fan of the aosp camera. When I flashed apex rc2 I installed ecamera, to get around it but now when I hit the camera button it will vibrate but neither camera app opens...

Is there a way to fix this? I really don't want to have this issue when I make the jump to cm7...

There are some cam apps that won't let you default the camera button to it. The one I use is Vignette. It allows me to default my cam button to it and works great. Give it a try and see how it goes.
