Help Camera button opening messages instead?

This might be weird, but often when I take pic then share it by texting it to someone, if I try to get back into the camera by pressing the camera button while on the main homescreen with all my apps and stuff it takes me back into the message where I texted the pic to. It's annoying and I don't know how to get back into the camera without finding and clicking the camera app when this happens.

I don't quite fully understand your problem at hand. Try force stopping the application and try again. Settings>Running applications

Couldn't you return back to the camera by using the Back-up(arrow) button?
