camera button?

When I first got the Droid I was able to use the camera button on the side to activate the camera. Now when I press the button, it opens and new text message. Is there a way to change it back?

Uninstall whatever you installed that changes the function of the camera button.

If all else fails, a factory reset should do the trick.

What SMS app are you using? If you are using Handcent SMS, check your settings. There is an option that will allow you to use your camera button as a trigger.

Was having the same problem. Open Handcent and under Settings---Send Message Settings went to the very bottom and checked the trigger camera button box. Problem solved.
