Help camera failed error on s3

So I found this s3 for sale but the only catch is that the camera doesn't work(everytime the camera app is started, out says camera failed) Everything else works fine. After calling samsung they told me it was still under warranty, so I sent it in, after a week they let me know it was liquid damaged.
Is there anyway this can be fixed or is the phone just done.

If you want to shell out the $$$ to fix it. Don't know how much it would cost and since it is Water Damage. There may be other things that may start failing.

Yes, I tried different apps, hard reset, with sd card and without.
Is it safe to open it up and clean with 99% alcohol. I read that on another forum, its not like I can void the warranty

You can try, but since it is Water Damage could be a short and not repairable. Water plus Electricity equals OH Sh**.
