We have an Optimus Elite, rooted. Not long after we got the phone (It was brand-new last September) we rooted and installed Harmonia. Everything went smoothly with the root and install. We put in an external sd card, and then we started having problems with the camera loosing pictures. So we took the card back out, and the problems persisted.
When we'd take a picture, we'd get the error msg, "Camera failed to write" and if we then looked in gallery, there'd be no picture. However, if I looked in the DCIM folder with a filesystem app (I was using es file explorer) the picture would be there.
A few weeks ago, about Jan. 25, I wiped the phone and installed Sleipnir 2.3.9. That install went perfectly, as well, and I checked md5's at dl and at transfer to the phone. One thing I noticed was, after the install, all of the old apps were gone, but the pictures that had been stored on the phone were still there - I hadn't wiped the internal sd card. I reviewed the instructions, and didn't see anywhere that indicated this should have been done.
after the install, i tried out the camera, and it worked flawlessly. it took pics, wrote them to DCIM, gallery would see them, everything fine. We haven't taken a ton of photos, but a few here and there, all of them worked fine. Until today.
Now it's giving the same error and same behavior - pics fail to write, gallery fails to see them, but the filesystem app can see them.
Does anyone have any idea at all what might be causing this, or how I could fix it? I'm not opposed to reinstalling again, including wiping the sd at time of reinstall, if it will help.
Edit: Wife says she installed an app called Ibotta in the last day - she's uninstalled it and rebooted, but the problem with the camera persists.
Thanks in advance.
