Help Camera flash is too bright?

my HTC wildfire takes perfect picture during day time but during night time the flash is far far too bright turns people ghostly ( both Auto and normal flash)
please help.

well there is nothing you can do about the flash mine is fine in the night you using AutoFocus ?
when i dont use auto focus it does the same as you said.

even auto focus is far far to bright....:-(

its more an issue of how close you are to the subject you are shooting. the closer you are, since the flash has only one strength, things get washed out from over exposure, you can alter exposure settings(turn brightness setting down) or you can dull the flash by a small piece of tissue or similar over the flash.
