Help Camera flash not working

The camera flash on my Galaxy Ace 3 is not working.
It has been set to On, Auto and still won't work.
Until now I have not needed to use it, so would a factory reset fix the problem?
Thanks :)

If we knew the reason we'd know the solution. Unfortunately if the only symptom is that it doesn't work, that doesn't give us much to go on.

Try clearing data for the camera app. That's just a guess, but the flash is linked to the camera (which is why TeslaLED, which Funky linked, needs camera permissions to work), so if some bit of data is blocking access to the flash (which seems to be the case if a reset fixed it) then the camera is my first guess as to where that might be.

In this case then it's either a bug or an actual fault, given what's happening. See if there's an Android update available, failing that you might have to seek Samsung service.

Thank you, I'll try those suggestions . It seems odd that it did work, then stopped.
Perhaps we expect too much from a machine!

I'll try the update, but probably wouldn't bother with the Samsung service, which is a bit woeful in Aus from all accounts.

mikedt said- failing that you might have to seek Samsung service.
I spoke to a Samsung rep today I have decided to do this and will be sending it off in the morning.
Thanks for your help :)
