Camera flash too bright

MrCave

Newbie
When I take a picture in dim light conditions, the flash is overpowering the faces of people, making their faces too white.

Any suggestions welcome.

My immediate thought was that you're probably standing a little too close if that's happening. That's normally the case when this happens with a "proper" camera.

Go into the camera. Click on menu button. There is a picture of a sun which when you click it lets you alter the exposure, or in plain English the brightness. Try and move the slider down and take the picture with the flash on and see if that helps.

The brightness adjustment is better, thanks.

I read that improve your camera trick but my phone is less than 2 weeks old and the plastic cover is quite clean still.

Sounds like a classic case of over exposure. Also try and find the free PhotoShop app on the market, that may have a fix for your existing photos.
