Help Camera geotag does not use the GPS

Hi,

So, I have the GPS enabled and I can verify this using Maps where I see the GPS icon appear in the top.

However when I take a picture with the camera, I see no GPS icon and the coordinates saved in the picture are waaay off so i'ts definately not using the GPS. The "Use GPS" option in the camera software is of course enabled...

What can I do?

EDIT: Well after searching in other forums I realize that this isnt an Incredible bug, but a general HTC / Android bug. Seems it requires a software update. This sucks.

Im not sure what bug you are talking about, I see the coordinates in the exif and the locations match perfectly.

E.g. this thread.

But since you are able to do this I should too I guess :) What can I do here? I have even opened Maps just to verify that my phone has a GPS lock. But after closing Maps and returning to the Camera app, the coordinates saved in the image are off by 1-2 miles.

Any advices?

Hello ITemplate,

I only took a few pictures outside and they all have GPS coordinations in the exifs.

As soon as the rain stop, Ill go outside with a real GPS + my phone and take more pictures a few km from here just to make sure it is really accurate.

Ill post pictures of the "real GPS" coordinate screen taken with my phone as soon as I can. Expect them tonight or tomorrow afternoon.
