Help Camera Help Please

So i have downloaded an alternative camera app (HDR, but am not 100% sold on it) and i am curious if there is a way to hard set it so that the camera button launches my new camera app as oposed to my factory camera app. Also, is it possible to delete the old camera app without compromising the function or stability of the phone?

Just be careful what you delete.
I have not started deleting stuff yet for fear I will delete something important.
Currently there is no custom recovery and no way to restore.

ya, this is what i am affraid of. I reformatted my post here so that my main questions about root app deleting is in the "All things root" Section.

ProCapture is also a better one as alternatives which can work well with camera button. set it as the defaulty.

Warp doesnt support HD recording.

I know. I think theres a mod for the nexus one to make it hd and i didn't know if any one could do that on this phone as well.

Update: I was never able to make the HDR app i had work directly to my camera button, but i uninstalled it and paid for the fxZOOM camera app... eh, but it goes straight threw the button so i digress for now.



...On a side note, am i missing something, or does fxZOOM not have a place to change exposure, white balance, ext( actual photo settings, not just ? such a disapointment if these features are not included with this $5 app!
