Root Camera issues...

If you want the closest VM firmware to the current Sprint version download and flash the PG86IMG.zip file from this post through the bootloader.

A lot of people on this forum are still running the radio and PRI firmware from the original "fix everything" thread but that was a temporary fix until VM released the OTA. If you have any problems with the OTA firmware updates you can always go back and flash the "fix everything" versions, which are pulled from two different Sprint GB builds.

alright so
-root/s-off
-turn phone into evo 3d(sprint)
-then flash that Pg86
-then flash the CM10.1?
edit: i think i need the sprint firmware for the CM10.1 at least thats what it says
"Do not use superwipes
Must not be on HBOOT 1.58 (Sprint)
Must not be on HBOOT 1.57 (Virgin Mobile)
S-OFF
4ext recovery
Have latest Sprint firmware installed."

Or you could just flash joe_blow's all-in-one file from http://androidforums.com/evo-v-4g-a...ead-virgin-mobile-htc-evo-v-4g-aka-3d.htmlhis and skip the original "fix everything" thread and the OTA firmware flash (steps 2 and 3) since that has all the firmware required, including an hboot that is compatible with most ROM's. You can do that right after getting S-OFF and you will be good to go for both Sense and AOSP ROM's.

for the record, I havent had bad results with the stock camera, that being said, the 3d pics are usually better focused, might be on a phone by phone basis.. also, you can install the 4.2 camera on a sense 3.6 rom, seems to take slightly better pics... IMHO anyway
