Root Camera microphone gain too quiet

First I would like to thank everyone on this forum. With all the information here I successfully installed 2.3.4 on my GT540 and I am very please with it.

Everything is fine apart from one thing, the camera microphone. When I record a video the gain of the microphone is very low. If you tap on the phone or put it right next to your mouth its as loud as being on a call. Even if you are a couple of feet away your voice is a slight whisper. It works fine on calls though.

I read somewhere that people had similar problems with making a call on speaker phone due to the microphone not increasing in gain. I am guessing its the same thing.

Anyone got any ideas on how to fix this?

I have looked for settings and apps but cant find anything.

I know I'm late posting to this but I'm pretty sure this is on the "to do" list for Muri4k. You could try updating to the next 2.3.5 and see if that helps as it now allows accessibilty to use Bluetooth headsets.
