Root Camera Mod??

When you download a home replacement some of the launchers have a camera shortcut already on the home screen. When you click on the icon opens up the old gingerbread camera.It has weird setting that let you take pictures in Hd1080 and many others. Has anyone seen this before?
 
umm, what launcher? i've never heard of a launcher that can take your camera apk and build.props and automatically change them....
 
Yea I know what you are talking about. You'll end up with a camera with a icon of a camera and then you'll end up with another will just have a little green android dude on it on a white back ground

That's exactly what I'm talking about. But where does it come from? its a whole different camera

On the Esteem, theres 2 different "Camera" apk's.
CameraApp.apk, which is the Camera we can easily access, and Camera.apk which is the camera you are talking about.
The CameraApp.apk is 1 that's supposed to be used with our phone, LG and/or Metro put it in.
Camera.apk is the stock GingerBread/Android camera.
You can "most likely" remove Camera.apk and not suffer any drawbacks, I remember reading some time ago it made CameraApp.apk a little faster, but this could've been a placebo. Whether or not it will cause issues, I don't personally know.

I removed it now I'm bricked.. I'm suing... Jp but that 'most likely' kinda asked for that without a disclaimer attached ;) good to know though.. Always wondered about that..

Oh, lets not forget my mountain of debt caused by my roommate breaking our lease and hauling it to Tennessee.

Haha.. But he supplied the link :p all in all this is a bad joke.. Man I wish my phone could just flash itself.. :) although I ain't managed to do it yet and flash damn near everything under the sun I can get my hands on.. Yet to brick an Android.. reading directions and back ups work wonders.. ;)

he supplied it but u flashed <--- considered ur fualt LOL u did the action he gave something he didnt obligate u to flash it And u kno on every mod/tweak/links its not the uploaders fualt that u got bricked so LOL UR FUALT :D ;)

Why is everyone elaborating so much on this, he's obviously kidding, and when he says its your brick not mine, he is paraphrasing mp's disclaimer, you guys wasted your time writing out those pointless explanations :p
