Camera not working...any idea??

everytime i press the camera app icon it says "media scanner running" and kicks me back out to the home screen in less than 5 seconds..im rooted on stock rom..been through.a couple of custom roms and decided to go back to stock cuz my data speeds were getting really crappy on custom roms. Now my speeds are faster then ever but i got no camera cuz of sum stupid media scanner..if someone could help me out with this issue,it would be appreciated..thanks

Yeah let the media scanner finish.. Its locating all the things in your SD card to show in gallery

O ok..i never know it was even running cuz the only time the notifcation came up was when i would try to use my camera.you dont know of anyway to disable.it do you?? The usb switch comes in handy, but when i switch to usb storage,both the media usb and storage come up.the.media dosent have either on checked..almost like the switcher is blocking the media usb..its weird man..

Yeah you can disable it with an app called android tweaker. But I'd leave it on. It just updates known media files after u boot up.
