Help camera not working on android incredible

I just got my phone about a week ago. It was taking pictures and videos just fine until today. I tried to take a picture and it would not work. The camera opens and it looks like its about to take a picture but it won't. Then I set the thing down, and about 5 seconds later it took a picture by itself. Unless I have a ghost that wants to take pictures, I am guessing somethings wrong...apparently the ability to do it is still there, but not sure why I can't make it take a picture myself

Sounds like it's lagging, is your phone running slow at all... or do you have the timer turned on?
(i think there is a timer setting but I'm not sure, I'm not using the stock camera app)
I think there is an option to set the camera back to default settings too, or last resort would be a factory reset, unless you can think of any apps you may have downloaded that would effect your camera.
