Help Camera problem: starts up and shuts down after 1 second

Hi,

I am the proud owner of an HTC Sensation.
there is however 1 little problem. When i want to use the camera (or camcorder), it starts up and after 1 second it shuts down.

I've tried to reboot it, remove the battery and did a factory reset.

It's a Dutch Vodafone branded Sensation with Android 2.3.4 on it.
I did look for updates, but none where available.

Can anyone please help?

Have you tried going into settings > applications > camera and pressing clear data and then force stop?

I have this problem as well. I have tried to describe the technical details on XDA-Developer p=25774777&postcount=7...

And yes, I have tried just about everything from reboot, flushing cache, clearing data, ... But nothing seems to help :-(

Did you ever fix this problem? I have the same exact one- just upgraded to ICS hoping that would fix it, but it did not.
Any help would be appreciated! Someone once mentioned geotagging but I'm not sure how to turn that off without being able to get into the camera app itself?

No, I never did fix the problem. So I actually ended up buying the new GS3 and passed on the Sensation to my oldest son. He was OK with the camera not working..

Just two days ago, he returned with a working camera! He don't know what he might have done to fix it

So... No, I never fixed the problem, but it somehow fixed itself. Whether that means there are hope for others with the same symtoms, that is a completely different story.
