Help Camera problems

Hi,
Just took my super duper EVO into the Sprint store, this could be an unrelated event, but my camera goes dark. I touch the camera icon and the screen goes blank/dark with no options visible on the screen-only the home function brings me back . . . sigh, really needed to use my camera this morning.

Anyone have similar difficulties and easy fix??
