Help Camera quality and video recording

A lot of the pictures and vids I've seen of the camera don't look so hot. This is coming from a Samsung Vibrant. The vids I've seen are jerky with jumpy exposure and really bad audio capture quality. I am mainly on the fence right now with the camera/vid capture holding me back. What is your experience? I am hoping the audio capture is just a bad bitrate. And my memory of the camera/vid might be skewed since I last sold my phone.

Edit; I just saw some more vids as well as compared my old vibrant vids. The smoothness of the vibrant is very apparent. And the change in exposure is also smooth. The worst thing about the inspire vids is that the exposure adjustment is really bad. It gets dim, then bright, then dim again, like a drunken stupor. Gives me a headache. Like this one, which is an outdoor shot:

Or this:

Compared to say this one, which should be much worse since it is an indoor shot, from the Vibrant:

Or this other vibrant one:

My girlfriend just picked up the Inspire a few days ago, and we haven't played with the camera much. I think your video quality looks good, but I see what you mean when you compare it to the vibrant, especially with the lighting transitions. In the Inspire video you can see the transitions sort of...click into place I guess I would say?

I'll have to see if her phone does that also. Does it play the same on the phone as it does on your computers?

I also think it could be software related. Maybe the Vibrant had a better camera program that handled things better.
