Anyone with this beast wanna load up some pictures they've taken with it? Just wanna see how good this 5MP camera really is. Also, whats the maximum quality it can record in? Most 5MPs can do 720p, but I didn't know for sure.

Took a bunch of photos outside today. Results were much better than with my initial flash indoor shots. For starters, I figured out that the default camera app included with the phone is more flexible than I had thought, letting you adjust ISO, sharpness, contrast, saturation, and white balance--all of which would undoubtedly help even the pathetic performance with flash photos I had seen earlier. But the UI for those controls is anything but helpful. It's nice enough to tell me, for instance, that the default setting for saturation is "Level 2", but what does that mean, and what does "Level 0" or "Level 3" mean?
Searching for a friendlier experience, I moved on to Camera by Lightbox (free) and Vignette (paid). Both did a great job with the adjustments off the default values that are needed to bring out the best in the Warp's camera. Most of the shots I took on the default settings today (on a moderately cloudy morning) appeared washed out. Camera by Lightbox automatically displayed alternative about 20 effects/enhancements for every shot, including an "instafix" effect that inevitably corrected the problems with white balance saturation and contrast I was seeing.
Vignette also made it easy to overcome the deficiencies in the camera's default settings, while also giving the opportunity to test the camera at extreme zoom and tight closeup macro settings. Neither app could do much about my own deficiencies as a photographer, but they definitely proved that the ZTE Warp's camera is capable of much better results than the default camera app running on its defaults settings would indicate.

U can't really expect much of a camera from a smart phone, the best camera in a smartphone is the Iphone and even with that, you still cannot depend on it all the time as u could with a standalone seperate digital camera.
my htc evo has a 8 mpxl camera and it sux big ballz about half the time. Night time and indoor shots are a big time joke.
with that said, this zte warp is a really good deal considering the speed and 4.3 inch screen. U can't expect a quality phone camera on a mainstream 80 dollar a month phone so this should not be the reason that deters u from getting this phone.

I guess a person has to decide if they want a phone with a camera, or a camera that can make phone calls.
So far on my Warp I found that the HDR Camera app kicks arse, takes really nice photos, way better than the stock camera app.
Very big difference between HDR and the stock camera. Thanks for the info

Big difference! Not sure how the HDR software does it, but I think the Google devs could take a lesson from them ;-)
I'm not aware of any diff between the Free and Paid ver other than the $1.99 Paid ver rids the user of advertisements. That $1.99 seems to be standard fare at the Market for developers to ask for an ad free experience. Usually when they ask for more than that then there are some feature benefits for moving up to the paid ver.
I'll be damned. The Author doesn't make note of that fact when comparing the desc's in the free and paid ver outlines.

That article is meh, for lack of a better term.
The screen doesn't look "bad" if viewed at an angle. The author of that article should really choose his words more carefully, as he makes it sound like its complete garbage and un-viewable poppycock.
