Help Camera Shots Gallery Question

When viewing my gallery I get little thumb nails of each photo. One of the photos is a gray box with a rectangle and a exclamation mark on it. If I click the gray thumb nail, my photo comes up perfect.

Why the gray thumb nail?

I was just coming to post a similar question. All of a sudden, photos that were on my phone and I was able to access now come up as gray boxes with a picture icon and an exclamation point. On my computer, they load up as red x's. I'm really upset. They were my kids' Halloween pictures.
