Camera Shutter Off (Sprint Only)

[drexappeal]

As I'm sure many of you know, Sprint has a policy that prevents the camera shutter from being disabled on all Samsung phones (although, maybe it's for all smartphones now).

Just wanted to see if any of you Sprint Note 2 owners have tried this:

[sprint only] toggle camera shutter sound no root - Android Forums at AndroidCentral.com

From what I read on that thread, it doesn't require a phone to be rooted. Has anybody tried it and been able to use it successfully?

It is not permanently disabled. I have Sprint and non rooted. I use the CameraMagic app and have no shutter sound

I use camera magic too, but I prefer using the oem camera. Are you saying you tried this modification and it wasn't permanent?
