Help Camera us just a Black screen

well i couldnt get the camera to startup ever since an update from htc it worked after one factory restore but only worked for a few photos... im convinced its a firmware issue not hardware but you never know. but anyways, now i rooted it it is S-Off running cyagen 7 but when i try to replace the 3 lib camera files it just wont boot up then i gotta do a recovery etc.... where should i go from here has some had this experience with fixing this before?

Have you tried reflashing CM from scratch yet?

Do a full wipe (factory reset) then flash the rom, then gapps.

If it still doesn't work, try a stock rom:

And if it still doesn't work, you most likely have a hardware problem.
