Help Can anyone "Locate" using htcsense.com yet?

It won't let me ring my phone, tried to lock phone with no success, and it has me located in the bay off the west coast of Africa.

Edit: It locked about 30 minutes after, but it still will not do the correct location or ring my phone. It says when I try to ring it, "Unable to connect to your phone to make it ring." So frustrating.

Edit2: I got everything finally working. Pretty awesome.

It's important to note that less than perfect results (from the site, not your phone) are normal for the present time.

Also for those who might be unaware it's a brand new site complete with a few of the normal glitches.

It is my understanding that now that Inspires are shipping in very large quantities. HTC is busy bringing the site up to full functionality. Once that's complete, the plans they have for content are quiet exciting.

As a new to smartphones and the only android owner in a family of iphones, I am much relieved to know it is the site and not me or my phone. Intermittent issues were making me crazy, but now I can just relax and wait it out.

I can't even log into the site today (Feb 23). It won't accept my login info. Just keeps waiting. Perhaps they are updating?

same with, just says loading.
Tried on laptop and it loaded. But still not finding phone. Found some posts on router mac addresses problem, but not sure if it applies. Doesn't seem worth the hassle now.
update: tried again form phone. Went to screen for settings/accounts & sync/htc sense. Did Sync HTC sense and icon started rotating. When I clicked on HTCSense web site account, phone location, I notice the sat icon shows up on the top bar of phone each time I click phone location. So phone is sending out a signal to server I suppose. But no update on location, still off Africa.
By gosh; it works now!!! Just updated. So I guess don't give up is thought for day.

Seems to be working for me now too. Was able to lock the phone, make it ring and I set my location and it moved me from Africa back to the US.

I was able to login in the last couple of days, and it located me fine... my phone shows that texts are being forwarded to email and all, BUT as of today I can't login anymore. I will say one thing To the people where it just says "LOADING", I have only gotten this on Firefox. The website never seems to load on firefox. In I.E. it loads fine except an error about some of it not being encrypted... Now I just wish I could login.

htcsense.com has been pretty worthless for me. The feature to make the phone ring works but nothing else does. I can't locate the phone it says it's still syncing and it says the phone it locked but it's not.
I have exactly these symptoms. I have gone back to the accounts and sync setup for HTC Sense, reset all options, and performed an HTC Sense sync again. Toggled the Phone Finder option in Location Settings. No Joy. Site always shows phone as still doing initial sync, but phone says it's done. PITA, I wanted to see this feature work.

Sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't. Last night and this morning all I got was "Loading" from my windows 7 netbook using Firefox 4.0 Beta, but I just got in and made the phone ring from my desktop using windows xp and Firefox 3.6. Could it be the Windows 7 -Firefox 4.0 beta combo that is the problem?

No, I've used XP 32-bit and Chrome or MSIE 8 or Firefox, Ubuntu 10.04 LTS 32-bit and 64-bit with Firefox or Chromium...no joy...same BS.
I left feedback on their site, got a call about a week later and told them it was ludicrous to continue to advertise this service when it has been catastrophically malfunctioning since day one to the present for a period of many months and approaching a year! I told them that was an eternity in this business space and NO excuse was sufficient. This issue persisting for months is a slap in the face and clear indication that there is NO priority on fixing it.

HTCSense.com/us was down for quite a while this weekend (I don't know how long)...it said "for maintenance". After posting my snide comment above, I checked it again (holding out very little hope of its working), and, lo and behold, it works. Only took three weeks for the web site to stop saying my phone was doing its initial synchronization!

However, it ALL seems to work now. The phone lock even works with EAS security policy that allows corporate lock too (I expected the two to interfere or rule out use of the other)...it takes many minutes to actually lock, but it works.

I still don't see how this service backs anything up though, as there doesn't seem to be an HTCSense app on the phone; so, I don't really understand what the service might be syncing.

At any rate the Phone Location, forwarding features and Phone Lock all work. I haven't (and won't) test the Erase Phone feature.

I had stopped even trying until I saw the latest post, so i tried again,, and it worked. My phone rang every time. It took a few minutes, but it actually also refreshed my location and got it right. It's a relief to know that I am no longer lost somewhere over the North Atlantic ocean.
