Can anyone recommend a stable 2.1 rom for my droid?

I am at bugless beast 7.4, love it... But I was wondering if there is a stable 2.1 rom that will let me run at 800mhz... Any suggestions?
 
Chances are no you don't. I liked the 2.1 ROM but I struggled to find a theme that worked for the framework-res and when I thought I did it returned the problem of the phone unlocking when sliding opent he keyboard.

he did fix the keyboard unlocking thing in v0.3 thats actually why i went back to his 2.1
 
Ahh - problem is I have over 120 apps installed, an use roughly the same number of widgets as you - but I use like 20-25 apps daily....
 
I use All Droid and it's the best rom I've used to this day. I've tried like 10 and the one out now beta 0.2b is the most stable rom. NO FC's and has everythign.
 
Really happy with BB 2.1 (.3) at the moment. I'm waiting for a bigger jump (more things added/removed) before I jump to another. I had 1 force close (fios remote) and no reboots. Mine was a little warm to the touch at 1 Ghz (not hot though) so I backed it down to 800 mhz atm. Love the rom in general though. Pete's been doing a bang up job lately!

BTW, this should probably have been posted in the "All things root" subforum :)

Yeah I know, I installed .4 but for some reason after I used metamorph the phone started to unlock again. I dont know why but it happened.
 
I am a big fan of Pete's stuff as well but I switch ROMS every couple of hours :D

Check out Ultimate 2.5 over on AllDroid...I am really digging this rom. It has a 2.1 launcher (buggy like most) but the 2.0.1 laucher looks great with the Droid theme, and the ROM itself is pretty stable. I hear 3.0 is coming out soon and will be really well received according to the testers that have it now.

Ultimate is good but it still needs some work like lock screen fix, and phone crashed a few times for reasons unknown to me.

Yeah but part of the appeal is that there is not an update every 5 minutes :D

I appreciate guys like Pete getting his stuff out so quickly but damn...latest version = me uncontrollably/compulsively having to install it...I'm tired of Recovery :)
