Help Can Blur be turned off?

I know about not being able to instal custom roms or rooting the phone, but are you able to disable Blur (shadowblur or whatever its called) and just run stock android?

Without being able to load a custom rom, being able to run stock android is pretty much a deal breaker for me.

Not at the moment, if we ever crack the bootloader than I belive so.

It's pretty easy to hide Blur by using a 3rd party launcher such as ADW or LauncherPro.

hmmm, I'm just not sure if I want this, being limited as it is, or waiting even longer for the "next big thing". Had my NE2 available for 4 years and was going to get the Inc until it was sold out, then waited for the X and now I don't know if I should keep waiting.

Fabolous, Engadget's review (yes I know they aren't the best to listen to) was mostly favorable except for some Blur shortcomings and the camera. I don't use the camera that much so its only negatives are basically with Blur. What is your opinion of the phone, specifically without Blur?
