Root Can do s-off on this fon instead of doing htcdev?

I google on this and look here and I dont see anything about s-off without doing the unlock using HTCDev website.

Is it possible to do s-off on this S phone?

I am ready to downsize to HTC One S and do T-mobile.
 
I see. I bet it can be achieved s-off if those pirates/crackers would want to get to it. I guess this is not one of their favorite phone.
 
It's not that... the same thing happens with the One X that i have, [and that one should have many "followers" :))] it's just that hackers/crackers need to find an exploit in the chipset itself in order to give us s-off... and until now, they didn't ! :(
 
My HTC phone is not different than your One X. The elite/pirates are able to crack it from Hboot 1.15 to 1.17 and 1.19. Originally those on 1.12 was able to have it done with s-off only.

Actually you are wrong here !

Every phone and with every phone we have a unique kernel, right ?
Now with every phone, we have different hardware that is implemented to work in the kernel. Now if the DEV's do not find a weakness in that specific kernel, we cannot have S-OFF [case of HOX and HOS].

What you have there is a bug in the kernel that was not fixed throughout the updates and allowed DEV's to implement S-OFF!
 
So not having s-off means I cant update my Radio.

Now if I take the OTA update, what will happen to my root?
