Help Can dropping your phone damage amoled with screen intact?

Hey all just noticed that there is a small area at the edge of my phone that looks damaged somehow. It is darker than the rest of the screen. the phone dropped last night but the screen is intact and shows no sign of damage. Best buy also sprayed the shi8 out of the screen when they installed the zagg shield.

Can a face down drop damage the amoled in such a way that only a small area discolored? Its the size of a finger print.

Any idea if the LCD display behind has been displaced at all by the drop? Maybe there is some new pressure on the screen. I'm no LCD expert but that seems like one possibility.
