Can I download entire Los Angeles County map?

I know I can download a search, but can I download an entire city so that I save on data? This way it only pings the satellite and not download a map with each turn etc...

I have a 12gb/month plan and this galaxy tab is going to be on my moving truck. It drives about 200miles daily.

Hi

Assuming you are talking about google maps app, you can download an area for offline use. Do a search, pull up the bottom panel and select for offline use. I suspect that the area you want may be too big (try it).

or

Install and use the Osmand app from playstore which works offline all the time and allows downloading open street maps of the whole country (ies) if you wish (at home over wifi before you leave)

As Girolez said! Download a section through Google maps for later use.
I have done that when I went to mexico.
Another great app is Co-Pilot Live. With that you can use your Android as a GPS with out data usage.
