Root Can I edit the Camera App on CM11 to flip the front facing cam?

So, the CM11 available for our device is great and well made, but there are a few bugs at the moment. One of which is a bug where the front facing camera displays a flipped imaged when capturing a picture, but then when it's taken, is flipped back to normal. I was wondering if I could possibly decompile the stock camera app and set it to flip the preview image when taking pictures with the front camera. Does anyone have any ideas?
 
You can absolutely decompile the apk, but having the knowledge to make the necessary changes is going to require some device specific experience
 
That's what I was thinking. I just need to find out what exactly I would do. I'll see if there's an XML in the res folder that controls the display.
 
I just checked almost every android file and I can't find any way to flip it. but I may be able to with the app idea
 
Moved to the ATR section since your are on a non stock Rom
