Root Can I flash V3 with the OC Turbo kernel?

I am using the turbo4 kernel and want to flash velocity, but noticed that on the thread for V3 there is a version modified to work with v3. I don't want to sound stupid, but is that one any different from the one I have? Do I have to flash the one from the Velocity thread before I can install velocity? Just trying keep things simple and reduce the chance for errors.

yes the turbo kernel in the v3 thread is different in that its been modified for the a2sd. flash v3 first then flash the turbo4 kernel from the v3 thread.
