Can I get Android to do this?

[WildernessIT]

New to Android, new here, 1st time post

I know zilch about tablets running android, not sure where on this forum to ask, hope someone will be willing to help with an accurate answer

Here is what I need and looking to know if an Android product can do it:

1. I need a tablet that I can connect a Sat phone to via USB as a dial-up modem.
2. Need to sync word files from an iPad to it directly and then send them across the data connection on Sat phone to a server.

I can do this with Windows OS tablets, not sure about Android ~

Anyone have experience with this?

Thanks in advance

Can you explain exactly what you're saying - may just be me but I'm a little confused as to your setup.

I can take a windows netbook or tablet pc, connect a satellite phone to it via USB, make a dial up connection and send data across it to a server.

I want to know if an Android tablet will allow a dial up connection on a usb com port to be made for sending data.

thanks
