can I give/get an android market account?

from my understanding apps that I purchase on Andorid Market - can be installed in the future on a device I will upgrade to (if supported)

what if I have two android accounts both had some cool apps purchased on both and I want to give one to my girlfriend ... so she could not own and install those games - can I just give her the entire gmail account + password it's associated with and it will be all okay?

are there any foreseeable technical issues?
legal issues?
any issues?

UPDATE: hmm I am worried about licensing - some software authorizes it's use via internet before EACH use - for a valid license

Great panoramic app but if you are traveling and don't have a signal you get licensing issues. Kills the whole point of the app! Totally frustrating!

It should work, but then she would have to use that account for everything else, like contacts, gmail, calendar, ect..

no I don't think so
she can just use that account (in fact a number of accounts) for the Market application

I have a number of gmail accounts
and you select what you want to do with each

I have friends with a dozen gmail account... for different purposes...
