Can I install CWM by itself without changing anything else?

I am currently running fl24 stock that I rooted with framaroot.apk so I can wifi tether. Is there any way to add CWM without altering any of my settings? If so, can someone give a me an idea of how I would do that?

Yeah u can just follow the root guide. Flash the tar in odin and you'll have a recovery. Iys agat not cwm but the same. And if u want root flash superuser zip in the agat recovery. Neither thing will noticeabley change the phone by itself

I didn't quite understand how it worked. I also had a prevail and didn't like stock so I didn't care about flashing it out of existence. What else will change after flashing a new kernel to get CWM?

So, is there a kernel with CWM for this phone? I guess I'm a sucker for the familiar. Also, my phone is already rooted, so no need for that.

Yes there is but the ones that work best are all GB or ICS. TW JB roms don't have CWM recovery yet, but all of your stock based android roms do as all of them run on ICS modems and kernals I do believe.

If you are sticking with the stock ROM, just stick with the AGAT recovery. It works just like CWM. Just use odin to flash the AGAT 0.6.8 kernel or FL24 repack with AGAT recovery.
