Can I put another firmware on??

Ive rooted my S2 and removed the apps I dont use but I was wondering can I flash my S2 with the standard S2 firmware instead of my Vodafone one.
I did this one my X10 and received the update from SE when they released them.
Was just wondering if I could do the same on my S2?????

I'm a bit confused about that but the depressing thing is I think it made sense. As long as you haven't put on an unofficial firmware on you should still get updates OTA
