Help Can I remove apps like Moxier???

I was looking through my phone and noticed that a lot of pre-installed apps I don't use. Apps such as the Moxier ones, Quadrapop are the ones I am on about.

I have looked in the normal apps list to uninstall these but they aren't they. How can I delete these??

Well it's a bit different after the new update, what firmware are you running? Settings - About Phone

2.1 Update 1 (im on Vodafone)

What are the benefits of Root??? Also do I have to back everything up i.e. SMS, Phonebook, Apps etc

The firmware is listed under Build Number? If it ends 504, then download, install and run - z4root.1.3.0.apk, once rooted , download install and run xRecovery, and make a backup of your phone.

Then install Generic 2.0.2.A.0.24 firmware via xRecovery which will give you a rooted version of the latest SE update, which can't be rooted with the usual methods at the moment. Then install TB and remove what you don't want, or install a ROM which comes with all the crap removed, then you can build on that if you want.

In a nutshell, it allows you to mod the phone.

Your contacts should already be backed up, as for your apps, depending on how many you've got it's up to you.
