Help Can I Remove Useless Apps

When I got my EVO 4G phone from Sprint, it came pre-loaded with apps like Nascar, Sprint Football, Amazon Kindle, Blockbuster, Amazon MP3, etc etc etc. Can I remove them or re-load / reinstall Android with minimal applications and install only things I would like to have?

Just hate all the useless clutter and feel like it's pointless having all these garbage preloaded apps that I will NEVER use.

Can a Sprint store rep remove any of those apps that we can't, for some idiotic reason, remove ourselves?

No, you must root the phone. Sprint has to leave the bloatware on the phone. They have contracts with certain companies for some of those apps.
