Can i replace the default mail app with K-9

I really like K-9 mail app. It works great with my imap mail account. But can i put it on the launcher bar thing at the bottom of the screen instead of the current mail app?


I am a captivate newbie.

sure you can use K-9 as default mail app. if you're using gmail or outlook account to sync contacts, let those emails still be on the original email app. just set it up so that it doesn't check for new emails.

yeah you can I use K9 as well for my email, i like it way better than the stock email.

That worked great - I changed the mail app to the k-9 app. Awesome!! Thanks very much

Get a new launcher like ADW and not only can you change all the apps there, you can add more than four as well as a second set.
