Help Can I Update This Phone?

I've read so many different pieces of information about this topic. I have a Samsung Galaxy i7500. The firmware is 1.5. I would like to update it so I can get Google Goggles on it. I want to do this without messing up my phone. Can this be done.

That's not really helpful. I've never owned a smartphone, and I'm really tired of people just making unhelpful comments. I just want to update it. The last forum I went to they just ridiculed me for being a chick and buying the "wrong phone".

no ones here to ridicule you for being a chick, but you clearly haven't read enough - if you look at the stickies in this forum you will see a LOT of helpful threads regarding this matter. and if you look at past threads you'll see that users that didn't know nothing half a year ago are now helping other users - all of this can be achieved through reading the stickies first.

Since you are new so I will suggest you the easiest way to flash your mobile.

Once you have enough experience with this phone, you can try Galaxo roms and ofcourse stickies have all information you will ever need.

To be slightly more helpful, I would advise to wait until the next release of Galaxo, since it looks like Drakaz has fixed the "no sleep" bug present in the official 1.6 firmwares...

That's what I'm waiting for.
