Can i use my htc legend memory card on my new desire hd?

Hi guys, iv got an htc legend and am getting an htc desire hd on tuesday. Basically what i would like to know is can i just switch my memory card from my legend to the desire hd. The legend is running 2.2 so will everything saved on the sd card - apps etc - work when i put it in the desire hd, as i have so much good stuff on it dont really want to start again? Please help if you can.

The apps wont work, To do that you would have to root your phone then use titanium backup to properly backup the apps onto the memory card but even then I'm not sure if it would work because they will be going onto a different model phone.

All the media like pics and music would still work though.
