Root Can I use this ROM?

Bf has a Nexus 4G and it's PAINFUL to use compared to my Epic Touch. I'm hoping if I root it and put on a faster ROM it will be a bit better? Otherwise I might be stuck *having* to upgrade myself and give him my Epic Touch.... LOL Which in all honesty is not in the budget until at least next spring!

I'm running the Calkulin's E4GT v3.0 on my phone right now. I flashed the Rom, then the Modem, then the 2nd Rom to get rid of all the extra apps.

Can I just run the same filed on his phone after I root it? Or do I need different ROMS since it's a different phone? If I do need a different ROM is there anything fast that someone can suggest?

Their is a bunch of roms on the xda developer forums. Check them out I'm running 4.1 jelly bean on my nexus s 4g. And its smooth and fast.

i used sabra root toolkit on mine to root my nexus s 4g, it worked out nice, i used twrp recovery but u can also choose clockwork mod if you like.
