Help Can not hear phone calls

I have an intermittent problem of no sound on phone calls. I did a factory reset of the phone a couple of days ago, but had the problem again last night. The call will connect but there will be no sound coming from the phone speaker.

I have 2 phones doing the same thing though. My wife's and mine are both having this same issue.

In that case, it is probably a network issue. Try calling Verizon.

I've noticed that when this happens, that the sounds won't play and music won't play either. It is like there is a system resource hijacking my device's audio.

When the problem happens, even when I press the volume up or down to increase the volume there is no beep sound. I have to restart the phone to get it to work properly. Here is what I have listed under all apps:
