can not find my phone dialer icon so i can not make calls

Look in the app drawer (circle with 6 dots). Every app on your phone is there... you can then long-press it and move to the homescreen.
It may be that you inadvertently removed the icon from your home screen. Android does not require all app icons to be on a home screen and uses the "app drawer" which will always show you every app installed on the device.
You should be able to find the dialer in there, and if you want to put an icon on your home screen you can hold your finger down on the icon and then drag it onto the home screen.
The app drawer icon should look similar to one of the two below circled in red:
