Help Can not speak to text

No matter what keyboard i use, voice is not being picked up when texting. Is it the Thundersense rom I am using or the kernel 2.6.35.13 imoseyon? Would love to get this feature back if any one can help.

I have found on most custom ROMS (all maybe) you have to install Google Voice Search from the market.
